Warren Peterson, Welding Technical Director, has a new research article in the May American Welding Society - Detroit Section's eBulletin. We investigated the effect of coating weight on spot weld size in galvanized steel. A roll of production steel with abnormal coating variations was found and used to complete a series of welds for the test.
